It’s Friday night at 6:30pm and I’m packing it in…for now. I went by the lot to update some signage and move a few cars around, and in pulls a guest, takes the time to neatly park his car close to the building in an oddly quiet spot, and walks straight towards a blue Calibre we’ve had for a while. My daughter was helping, and we were ready to head out, but of course, I had to walk over and say hi, as part of me was hoping it wouldn’t go very far so that I could start my weekend (I’m human too).
One of the first questions I like to casually ask is “did you see the car on-line or just driving by” and he proceeds to tell me he saw it on kijiji, then on our web site, and has been keeping an eye on it when he drives past on his way to work.
Of course, after hearing all that, I waived to my daughter that I will be a while, he waits while I top up the tires with some air, and we take it to his house.
Wife and kids are all over it, I let them drive it while I check my texts in the driveway.
They come back and start asking me some questions about rates and the tires…I love those questions.
“Allan, let me do this: I will text back to the shop to start working on the tire quote, when we get back we can start the appraisal form together and maybe get you and your wife working on the credit app while I double check the pricing and carproof?”
Badda boom, badda bing. lol.
…let’s hope they get approved…
Time to run! Picking up dinner then off to play a soccer game at 8:30.
TGIF!
